Yes you can do this all on your own, but you’ll be a much happier human being to do it with other human beings. I can guarentee you that. MICK FLEETWOOD
Pür Recording Studio was borne out of our frustration with not being able to find a decent studio which allowed bands to play together and sound good at the same time.
Both the musicians and the music need air to breathe; being stuck in tiny booths and shuttled from studio to studio for overdubs do not help the creative process in our opinion.
Nevertheless, we accepted it as a ‘necessary evil’ as the album budgets shrunk and the real-estate boom pushed the studios into smaller and smaller spaces. Until… we could not.
We finally decided to build a place of ourselves which we would not need to leave and could realize a project from start to finish.
It may sound crazy to invest in a commercial recording studio when many have closed recently (or can barely survive),
but our philosophy is to make the recording process so efficient that many indie bands will still be able to access it without major label support.
We put a lot of effort into building a spacious and neutral sounding live room because it is always better to start with a good sound than try to fix it in the mix.
High ceilings and curved wood paneling make our live room ideal for natural sounding drums or acoustic ensembles.
There’s enough sound proofing to satisfy any guitarist who wonders how his amps would sound at full volume.
Our control room, as well as the live room, was professionally designed by John Brandt (http://www.jhbrandt.net/) to his exacting standards.

We adopted a mastering suite style control room for immediate access to key pieces of analog gear and chose a smaller analog desk to improve workflow and recall.
Workflow is important to us: when inspiration strikes we wanted to make sure that you have the means to capture it without leaving your seat.
Our patch bay allows any microphone from the live room to be sent to any preamp or processor and from there to the AD/DA.
We offer 32 channels of simultaneous digital recording and playback, with 24 channels of analog summing and 4 mix busses at mixdown.
Of course, there are unlimited channels inside the DAW and a wide selection of plugins for virtual instruments and effects.
Pür also prides itself on the excellent backline it offers to bands that come in here to record.
All the instruments in the studio are our personal items that we have played on many professional recordings and are always maintained to be in top shape.
Drums, guitars, basses, amplifiers, pedals, synthesizers, etc. are all available to our clients at no extra charge.
Make sure you check out our detailed kit list before you rent out anything for your session!
